Poetry update!

We had a fantastic week looking at poetry last week with children sharing all the poems they brought in or put on the blog.

Well done!

  1. Dear felt tips,
Why did you run out? I had started a picture and you ran out! Now the picture is lying on the table half finished because of you! I thought I could colour lots of pictures and now I can not. Now I will have to draw them in boring grey pencil. I feel very disappointed because my picture will not be bright.

  6. Downing Street is a street in London, close by whitehall and Buckingham Palace. The official residences of the tow most senior Government ministers are here. These are the Prime Minister, and the Chancellor of the Exchequer.

Downing Street is a few minutes' walk from the Houses of Parliament. The Street was built in 1680s by Sir George Downing, 1st baronet (1632-1689) on the site of a mansion called Hampden House. The prime Minister, the Chancellor of the Exchequer, and the Chief Whip all have official residences in buildings along on side of the street. The houses on the other side were all replaced by the Foreign Office in the nineteenth century.
