Health Week due Friday 24th June 2016

Health Week

This week has been Health Week at Chatsworth. We have been learning about eating breakfast, getting your five a day, exercise and many other things to do with staying healthy.


Your task this week is to tell us what you do to stay healthy and why.

  • Do you go to any sports clubs or classes?
  • Do you have a healthy breakfast every morning? What do you have?
  • How do you get your five a day?
  • How do you make sure you are drinking enough water?

  1. I attend three after school clubs witch are football, tennis and cricket in school and at Richmond cricket club for two hours. I have toast with Nutella and a orange/peach or Weetabix. For my five a day I have dried mangoes grapes potatoes orange and peach. I also put my fist on a cup and that's how much water I drink.

  2. I go to three sports classes a week, which are gymnastics on Monday, ballet on Tuesday and swimming on Wednesday. They are healthy because all three clubs are active, fun and sporty. I have a very healthy breakfast each and every morning. For breakfast I usually have shreddies. I usually get half of my five a day from the salad bar at school and the other half at home. When I get home from school I have fruit and with my dinner I eat vegetables. I make sure I drink enough water by avoiding fizzy drinks, which is easy because I do not like them. I drink milk at the start of the day, the middle of the day and the end of the day which is healthy because it gives you strong bones.

I always walk with my grandfather in Inwood ark and come back after 1 hour.I have a cereal twice a week and I go to football club last year and I drink lenty of water.So how do we know that we drink lot of water?I know that I drink water by my dad force me to stand in front of him, holding a glass of water and drink it all u!

  4. Why do I stay healthy?

    I stay healthy because my Dad doesn't let me have sweet and sugary things. Also I am health because my closest family are vegetarians. I have a healthy breakfast because I have porige, ceareals with oats, an egg with a little amount of salt and olive oil. In addition I do two clubs every week football and tenis. In tenis we do a lot of running trying to hit the ball and in football we run and we jog. I make sure I have my five a day because I eat soup, vegetables, salad, rice with peas, cooked sweet potatoes with pumking and lentils. I make sure that I drink enough water because I bring my water bottle to school every day!

  5. I am a healthy person because I get my five a day,eat a healthy breakfast,drink enough water and go to a sports club after school.For my healthy breakfast I eat cereal.I get my five a day by eating carrots,peas,apples,oranges and lettas.
    I drink 1L water every day .I go to a football club after school on Tueasday.

In health weak i enjoyed trying something new and freestyle activities(the last two)because we can do push up's and other gym activities and I like gym because it makes you strong.Even I play football at my house and I go to football club which is lots of fun. I get my five a day in fruit salad because at my house at the night before sleeping I we all eat fruit and the fruit salad are mango,banana,apple,strawberry,kiwi an melon.This is how i make sure that I drink enough water I drink until I go to the toilet and then I drink a little bit of water and in the fruit salad there are pices of orange juice from the orange that my dad squishs the orange to make juice.BY HAARIS

  7. I enjoyed health week because it tolled us to right down challenges and to try some new stuff. I did not like is that you have to do each day one of the challenges.

  8. I go to lots of after school clubs like karate,football and cricket my favourite one is football. I have a healthy breakfast evrey morning i have cereal and sometimes toast and hot choclat everey single morning. I eat my 5 a day by eating fruit and some vegtibals normaly fruit my favrouite fruit is banana. I bring my water to school and PE and if i have a sport activite i bring it

I always go to school and come back by walk.Every day i jump on my trampoline and ride my bike and skipping because i like it and its fun, these all exercises keep me active and fit.In the morning I eat Weetabixs for my breakfast and i put fresh strawberries and grapes in it to make it delicious and i always take fruit in my lunch box.For my dinner i have fish for protein.i drink plenty of water i drink one bottle of water at school and half a litre at home.some times i drink fruit squashes at home like strawberry squash.

  10. Healthy Living:

    I stay healthy by…. Eating fruits,vegetables and salad. In the morning, I have a healthy,nutritious breakfast usually including: fruit,milk,bread,omelette. I walk to school and walk back home,drinking lots of water. I make sure that I am drinking water not, fizzy drinks as I don’t like them. I eat a balanced diet : meat,protein,seafood,sugar,dairy and carbohydrates. And sometimes I try something new. At school I get active when we do mile a day. I also have swimming classes at school. In swimming I’m in level 2 (Two) along with my friends. I Think that I am healthy !!!!🙂

  11. I liked health week, because I tried different things. First, I thought it was a normal week. But then I found out that it was health week. I had this kind of sheet that I had to fill in. I did not want to win the health prize but I still attempted it.
    I tried different kinds of food like: a nutritious, fruity and sweet smoothe; rich, tasty and salty soup; and Rice with scrambled egg accompanied by spinach and tuna.

  12. Morning:
    The reason why I stay healthy because…
    The main reason is I won’t add sugar in my milk or in any other drinks. And the very first thing in the morning is i drink a glass of warm water with honey and lemon. sometimes i drink my water with chia seeds . For my breakfast oats, porridge and cereals. I don’t do any sport in the morning but I do walk to school with my mum every day in the morning and if I am late then I run to school. In morning break time I drink a carton of milk.
    Lunch:
    In the lunch I have healthy things like fresh boiled vegetables as starters and fresh fruits for puddings. After lunch I drink some water. In school I go to running club and swimming every Tuesday. After lunch we also take part in mile a day.
    Evening:
    After school me and my sister rides our scooters. We usually makes smoothies out of avocados, kiwis, dates and strawberries and sometimes banana in it.

Everyday I drink plenty glasses of water.I eat carrots,beans,apples,banana and lots of cucumber and lettuce.I always go to the park with my bike and do more biking and running.I do cricket once a week and also swimming once a week.I drink a lot of milk and eat chocolate cereals and one banana every morning.I sleep early at night...These are the things I do to keep me healthy and strong.

  16. To stay healthy I try to avoid sugary foods and drinks. Throughout the day I drink water. The only sport I participate in, is cricket and attend the after school cricket club once a week. For breakfast today I had weetabix (2 Biscuits) with hot milk and a drizzle of honey. For lunch I had chicken tikka and mango chutney sandwiches, a banana, Strawberry yogurt and a glass of water. For dinner I had salmon (marinated in lemon juice and herbs), roast potatoes and mixed vegetables (carrots, peas, cauliflower, broccoli and green beans) with a glass of water.

To be healthy I go to dance class and I play games and at dance class we do some dancing and my teacher rany.For breakfast I eat sometimes upma and I also in breakfast some dosa and I eat to dosas in my home.I also eat fruit and vegetables like orange,banana,apples,grapes,cherries,Applejuce,yogurt drinks,carrots,green leafy things,tamatoes.I like playing games like football,tenis,egg and spoon race,running race and the beenbag race. I drink at least two bottles of water every day.i try to be happy most of the time.i take good care of my health so I can be fit and fine.

  19. The way I stay healthy is I fruit and veg. I also walk to school sometimes to get exercise. I love drinking water to stay healthy,I loved eating the bananas. I loved healthy living week and i'm sad that's it's over!

  20. I love eating vegetables and fruit every day as my 5 a day. I go to the park regularly and do some exercise it so much fun. I love it!! I do lots of skipping with my family it’s so much fun.

  21. I tried new things during haelth week as one of the five a day was that. I also went on a lng cycle ride with my dad and a long walk with my mum. I enjoed health week alot I hope we do it again next year. Ananya

  22. I've always had the intention to make Sundays about my health and well-being, but until recently, I loaded up the rest of the weekend with plans, leaving me wiped me out. I spent Sunday recuperating. I'll admit it: sometimes I still have a little too much fun on Saturday night, and I'll only make my way down half of this checklist, but when I accomplish all of these tasks, I feel happy, healthy, and in control all week long.

    Go to the farmers market: I'm very spoiled to live within (very close) walking distance of an awesome farmers market. I kick off my Sunday morning checking out the stands and getting inspired by whatever's looking fresh and available.by Mushtaq

  23. At home I eat healthy food.In the morning for breakfast I had cereal and juice drink and sometimes porridge I have a sandwich, fruits and lots of water.And for dinner I always eat good dinner such as lentils,rice ,vegetables and fruits. When I go to bed I have a drink of milk.
